Tamiya Pershing question

Post by Rocketman »

Hi guys

I'm picking up what sounds like a bit of a bargain at the weekend, my first tamiya Pershing.

Apparently it starts up, fires, turret rotates but won't move. I seem to remember this was a function on the Person that you could do something on the control trims and gun the engine?

I'm sure one of you Pershy owners knows this one....

It's the clutch function, need to move throttle trim to full reverse and blip the throttle back for it to go into gear

Great bargain !
Well done.
if it is not the clutch function, then try the reset on the dmd / mfu and recalibrate it to the transmitter.
Cheers

Hi guys. I picked her up, she's a beauty! Trouble is I can't get in it to see if it works. How do you get the damned top off!

Hi Rocketman, to remove the top there's 2 screws located in the front hatches that open up , unscrew these and it should lift off, if it doesn't then there is also 2 screws located towards the rear of the tank on either side of the lower hull, I only use the front 2 screws to keep mine attached though , hope this helps

Cheers, Lee.
