Hi Fabio,

Is it the combine air soft recoil unit?

If so it needs connecting up to the expansion port as per the instructions addendum.

Hello tank Bear, thanks for answering me, sorry for my English, but I am Italian...
If I had asked you before, maybe now I wouldn't have ruined the recoil of the turret....
On the manual here in Italy of the IBU 3, which does not understand the shapes of the polarities of the connectors, must be inserted (the tower connectors) in the SoftAir sockets of the card... The red wires show them on the right of the sockets... on the manual you posted me, only one connector (the big square One) goes to those sockets while the Microswitch connector goes to the expansion port.. So everything different from what brings our Italian manual. I disassembled the turret, and if I move the white servo recoil holder, it is soft then manually shifted into cannon back and forth freely. Instead it should be stiff when you move it and feel the movement of the servo's internal gears. So I think if I connected badly as from our manual the connectors I damaged the servo.
Also if you activate the recoil mode in the USB setup of the IBU 3 when you shoot the cannon you do not hear the sound of the cannon and the recoil does not work.... I do not know what to do to remedy this mess. But how does our manual be different from yours?
I hope you can understand better, because I am new to this hobby.
Thanks again for your help and hope to read you soon.

Hello Fabio,

I had the same issue with a customer, and created the addendum to the specification to help stop it happening again. I also sent to the manufacturer and thought he would translate to Italian.

First I will explain how it works before a few options for getting it working. The recoil is controlled by a micro servo, but the original Taigen electronics cannot control a servo so a small servo control board is fitted in the turret. This control board needs a power supply and a signal from the airsoft to activate the servo sequence. I found in my instance that the customer had connected the power supply to this control board with the wrong polarity and had caused the control board to fail, which I expect has happened to yours.

The fixes are
1 replace the servo control board

Or my preferred option,
Remove the servo control board and plug the servo directly into the IBU3 servo recoil port.
This method is my preference because it allows you to program the settings of the servo to make it fast, slow etc to make it more realistic.

Hope that makes sense and helps, but if you need further help ask away.
