Hi everyone. The post title its pretty self explanatory. We buy our kits, and then it seems we can not find replacement parts. So far, as I wrote before:
Jason's store: It was cheap but its closed for more than 6 monts (The web works, but wont let us check out)
Seidl Modelbau: This guy refuses to sell outside Germany only God knows why. He even wont ship to Austria.
Axels Modelbau: Pretty expensive but with most parts out of stock for loooong time. And I asked him about when he spects to have some in stock and no answer.
So then. Where the hell are we suposed to buy the replacement parts we need? Its unbelievable that I can find heng long parts every where but no Tamiya ones.
Maybe the thing is I can not find them, I dont know, so if you, guys, know where to buy them, please share you knowledge with me. I will apreciate it a lot.

Re: Where to buy Tamiya parts?
Good afternoon and Happy Summer Solstice,
EBay is a good spot. Search by the Tank Type and if anything is out there, it will pop up. Here in the States, a favorite site for me is the AAF Museum. Their online store is a major supplier of Tamiya tanks and parts in all scales. I've used them many times and they are 100%. ( Prepare for shipping rates to be high to the UK ) URL: http://shop.aaftankmuseum.com/ As a last resort, Tamiya.com runs a parts list for everything they offer and some things can be bought direct from them. Again, Shipping.
regards,
Painless

Dickie.de are Tamiya's designated outlet in Germany, Rad. Don't they ship to Austria? A cursory look at the parts section (top link here) showed a parts bag for the Panzer IV, and I would imagine they have access to the full spectrum of
Tamiya spares. I downloaded a couple of Tamiya user manuals from this site, and it certainly seems fairly user friendly.
Recently, I bought some Tamiya Pz IV bits from Axels; but many of the parts I would need to build a Panzer IV 'by instalments (as opposed to the full bank-busting package
), are not in stock. Quite how long Axel would take to stock them, I don't know. I might try Dickie to see if they can supply some PZ IV suspension parts.. (that's what I was looking for..
You didn't mention Dickie, but I presume you know of them...

My experience of "AXELS" is where a "Tamiya" item is marked as out of stock if I put in the order I receive it within three Weeks, It hasnt failed yet.

Re: Where to buy Tamiya parts?
Hi guys. In order:
Painless: I searched for the items on ebay and no luck so far. I ordered a couple of pieces at the AAF tank museum, but I sent them straight to a colegue in the US because they needed some work. (The sherman return rollers, he installed bearings for me) so yes, they are 100% trusty, but the shipping to Europe really kills it. But I think i've read somewhere that they were going to stop selling parts. I might be wrong, but just in case...
43rcReccRed: Thanks mate, that web looks the way to go. Tomorrow after a long sleep I will try to find what I need there and if they ship tu Austria. Thanks!
Jarnidice: Good to know, lol. But Mr Axels at least could answer my emails... Specially when Im a returning customer...
Anyway I´ll try the 43rd's web tomorrow and I'll see if I can find what I need.
Thanks!
