9.99 euro for 100 plus postage.
i was advised some years ago, when i started to build dios, to never use anything 'edible' that can deteriorate and possibly populate the dio with unwanted life. I've filled several hundreds of sandbags, and i've always used beach sand or silica, then tied the sack -like they did in real life- and used carpenters glue diluted in water to soak the filled sandbag, so you can shape them.wibblywobbly wrote:Or you could just fill the sandbags with ground rice? Stick it in a coffee grinder, and instant dust.
Excellent work on the diorama, and many thanks for the pics, it's always good to see how things are done.
I want to start building something like that, but it seems I can not find the balsa wood stripes anywhere. I can bind big balsa sheets or square (10mm x 10mm for example) balsa sticks. Could you please tell me how wide are those balsa stripes in milimeters and where can I buy them?Marco Peter wrote:Small sandbag-emplacement, fictional.
Empty CD cakebox.
Balsa wood
I LOVE to age my balsa wood using AK Products 'wash for DAK-vehicles. I you partly remove it after a minute or so the wood gets a nice aged look.
The sandbags are real, filled with salt. Still need to find a good way te close them properly. My current solution using loads of superglue is not very handy.
It's built to be put in a sandbox
