I'm no master with figures believe me! But I do have a couple of simple tricks I use to at least get mine respectable that might help a little!
You can make a simple wash 95% diluted of in this case say, dirty black/brown and wash over the whole figure and that will dull down and blend your camo splotches in a little better. It will also run into cracks and crevices and give you some better definition... If you have an airbrush do a flat coat the same way with just a touch of colour in it. I usually like Tamiya buff but just a touch! perhaps 3%... Not only will this seal it all up and blend things in it will also help with the flat paint rough texture that is the bane of my existence too!
Oh and I know it's probably too late on this guy but on your next figure try drilling out the sleeves and put a piece of copper wire in the back of the hand at the wrist and drill a small hole inside the sleeve for the wire to go in. It just looks so much better than the end of the sleeves flat. That being said, on this guy if you carefully paint the sleeve ends flat black it will help.
