Barrel Recoil

Hi

Whats the most realistic barrel recoil system for a HL tiger 1. Thinking of getting the entire taigen turret prewired for IR Battle, but is the recoil good?

The Recoil on a taigen it is really very good, unless you use an IBU2. The IBU doesn't use the trigger switch so you have to time The Recoil and that can sometimes be difficult. I understand that the IBU3 does use the trigger switch so should work very well.

Hi, well I've got that turret for my Tiger 1 and I'm well happy with it, just put grease on the sliding recoil plate on the base to prevent a click when recoiling :)

Taigen it is then. Does that have the elevation unit built into it as well? Ill be getting a tk60 board for it also.
I wanna put the 360 deg turret ring kit on it, will the wires work with the system and flasher unit as they seem very thin.

Vanguard, that's a great tip. Now I know how to get rid of the click in my recoil! :D

Would you happen to have a photo to show exactly where to grease?

They do on the T34 turret so should do. I did need to move one of the wires to make the strobe work - vaguely remember it was pin 5 to pin 4? Forgebear will be able to remember!

Here is a pic of the base of the Taigen recoil unit on my Tiger but my Panther is the same and had the same click. First its easier to remove turret from tank, then remove the three screws and spring, now I fired the gun then turned off the tank half way through when the plate has sprung into the fired position and before the barrel moves back into its original position. This makes the spring slack and easier to remove and replace (but not essential). Then apply a liberal amount of grease to the plate where it slides on the main unit and the main unit. then replace plate and spring in the middle and three screws, now when you fire there is no click yipeeeee :)
