Starting to strip one of the Taigen T34 hulls as it'll be easier (and better) to paint then reassemble. Found a post from jarndice, but has anyone got any recommendations (and usage warnings) other than be careful with this stuff?

Debonding agents - Taigen plastics & glue
Re: Debonding agents - Taigen plastics & glue
I use this stuff, and it works great. It will remove just about any CA glue and so far I haven't had any problems with damage to the plastic.
I'm not sure about European distributors, but isn't Amazon world wide?

It was a Heng Long tank, but I used "ZAP 7" Debonder as recommended by jarndice. Worked a treat.

The whole Zap line is pretty good, and I'm in love with Zap Goo. It's really great for attaching tools and stuff, and it's also great for securing wiring inside the tank. It doesn't get truly hard, and will stay where you put it until you don't want it to, and then it's fairly easy to remove.

Re: Debonding agents - Taigen plastics & glue
As Richard says "ZAP7" is a good debonder on the older Plastics but with the newer ABS plastics I use "BONDLOC" Which comes in a bottle with an applicator,
I do have an unopened bottle of "Stick2"Superglue Debonder but I havn't used it yet so I wont be giving a recommendation for it.
The usual warnings apply, as you paint it on do keep working the object until it is free and you MUST clean the debonder from the area you have been working straight after finishing with it.
Shaun.
