Elmod fusion board KV-2 Cold Start

Post by c.rainford73 »

Here's my Elmod fusion board that arrived today from Joe ( Yellowshaker) on the forum. It's the Eco version. I'm using a spektrum 6 ch radio and receiver. Very easy to setup. Once again the volume is low on purpose.

I've added photos of the install. Very simple to setup. All I did was play Joe's video and followed alongImage

I've yet to fine tune and adjust the board. What's neat is the track squeak sounds very realistic and when you apply the brakes there is a very nice audible squeakImage it also shifts up and into gear much more testing to follow.

The volume is not turned up much as my children are asleepImage

Maxmekker's speaker works very well with this setup.

Thanks Joe!

Thanks Tao! I'll get her outside tomorrow and crank up the sound so it will be much cleaner and we can also see the shifting and track movement. What's neat is if it sits shut off for 3 Mins it does the cold start. If less than 3 mins it does a warm startImage have to adjust and tune it a bit but the squeaks are very realistic

Is the gear shift able to turn on/off? I also like that cold start warm start feature!

Not sure I would imagine that once I hook the tank up to my PC and go into the programming mode I can at least adjust shift points etc....

Actually at about 35 min into that instruction video it shows how many adjustments there are for gear changes! Looking forward to the video!

Good stuff , Nice to see it all tidy in Place

is it so that when not pushing forward stick 100% it will not engage in gearshift ?

Thanks Mr Maxmekker... I will have to get back to you on that. What I have noticed is as you shift forward it's not immediate throttle. Similar to you releasing the clutch in your car or truck. A bit delayed unlike a stock Heng Long that immediately goes forward or reverse.

The longer I hold it at part throttle the slower it is to "catch the gear" and lurch forwardImage

I'll be able to take it outside tomorrow or Saturday. I'm working late tonight and it's about 25 degrees outside with 50mph windsImage
