Tamiya Panther repaint'

Post by maxmekker »

Starting in the other end this time, showing the latest model I've (re) done .

Not so much a build, more like a tune up.

Started as a 'in sorry state dusty one '  . Had to buy New lower + a few bits and bops from Jason store. Also had to lend the gearboxes from my other panther to make it a runner as one of the included one was warped .

Mr Maxmekker that is a beautiful panther. Paint pattern, weathering and details are top notch.

Very much improved over the original

The grit and grime make it come to life!

Even the fight is spot on ( Im a big fan of Figures obviously lol)

Nice to see you have a chance to finish and enjoy one of your tanks very happy to see it finished. Many of us know you for your electronic exploits, you obviously have the painting and building skills to match!

Fantastic

well thank you sir for the kind words . Happy How it turned out . With all the awsome weathering products out there it really is just to take a dive into it . Much of it is done with oils and odorless thinner .

Chipping is done with AK chipping color and sponge + maskol

certainly a vast improvement to before, lovely paint and weathering...I use the mig and W&N oils for a lot of mine too also maskol, I find the chipping paint a little thick so tend to thin that.

I've never been a fan of captured AFV's, so I'm glad to see the Panther in its natural stripes  I've taken a bit of notice of the paint chips you created and its something I have to get better with. Nice job all round. 8)

That's quite the make over. You sir are a triple threat of the RC tank world; a great builder, a great painter, and an electronics guru.
It looks superb, top work.
