Connecting Servos to a Clark Board
I have a very simple question. The instructions for connecting the recoil and elevation servos to a Clark TK22 board state " 1. Signal (White Wire) 2. +5V (Red Wire) 3. Battery (Black Wire)." My servos have brown, red and orange wires. Obviously the red is not a problem, but which wire is which? Is brown the new black?

Thank you. I did not want to risk blowing a servo.

The positive pin is in the middle of the three, so no matter which way around you install it, you won't do any damage short term. I have lost count of the number of times I have put them in the wrong way. The three pins are indeed signal, positive and negative, but as to why there isn't a standard colour combination is a mystery to all.

The lightest colour wire is in my experience always the signal (white equivalent).
