2.4 GHz MFU different version conversion help.

Post by Spam In A Can 26 »

Tank is a Heng Long M26 Pershing (aka "Snow Leopard").
As you may remember my old MFU fried so the turret would no longer turn. I ordered a replacement .24 GHz MFU & got this one, which as you can see is different in its configuration.
Can anyone point me to a conversion of some kind?
The tank's wiring was originally 27 Mhz, so that may well be a factor.
Some of it I have worked out, like left/right motors & so on but the different pinouts have my head spinning. Thanks in advance, guys.

UPDATED info:
Apparently the new MFU is a Rev 5.2, if that helps at all.

The sticker on the front should label where everything goes. They may be in different spots but they should just match up.

Can you post any better pics? If I have one like your fried original I'll give it to you no charge, just pay shipping.

Let me see if I can match up the labels, ignoring the position.
What would you like the new pics to show exactly & I'll take some.

I'm assuming this has the volume and smoke controls on the radio?

I don't believe so. At least not the transmitter.Maybe the receiver though, that would be a compatibility problem I guess?

OK so you purchased just the rx18 without a transmitter or a complete set?

The old radio worked on 27mhz with a crystal that mated to the original rx18 with a crystal and separate board connected to the antenna on the upper hull?

You would need the matching Heng Long updated 2.4ghz radio and a bind plug to "bind" the two together. Unless this was the old version with a crystal then you could connect as original.
