Thanks for the great advice Carl, I am looking forward to some weathering on it for sure to give some depthc.rainford73 wrote:Looks great! I'm not an expert but I used to brush it on my 1:35 scale models and have had a lot if success spraying it on with my airbrush on my larger models. On something of this scale it might give you some good results. I thin it out over larger areas and add darker shades around the small areas and edges. I use Vallejo acrylics. Have had great success with it. The darker I want it I just spray over a few more times until I reach the desired effect. I'm sure others may have better advice for you. Good luck and enjoy the new year

Hi HERMAN BIX, thanks for that mate......advice is certainly what I need at the moment. I will be ordering the DAK wash tonight for sureHERMAN BIX wrote:I regret no experience with a canvas of this size Mr Jeman, but the wash I use is the mig/ammo product.
I put it on like dirt............that is , in a splattered, haphazard way, using it to run down like road grime.
Wipe off the excess with a soft cloth.
The brown for dark yellow wash is a bit darker than the brown for DAK and as yours is a desert colour I would go the DAK wash.
Thanks for that mate.....im ordering the DAK wash tonight......really looking forward to doing it now....should be fun lolc.rainford73 wrote:I agree with Herman the dak kit would yield the best results. Start in a small area ( this tank is huge) and experiment with the wash and have fun
Cheers for that Mr BIXHERMAN BIX wrote:Oh, make sure you clear seal it first !
A good MATT deal coat or the wash will affect the paint
