HELLO FROM CALIFORNIA, USA

Post by Burger_Patrol1 »

Merry Christmas Tankers!!!
I built a Tamiya 1/16 Tiger 1 about 10 years ago and want to give it a face lift. Hopefully I can get some pointers/ideas/help from the masses to reach my goals with this tank. Criticism is also welcome, as I feel this will only better my skills.

My first question out of the gate is I would like to model the rear of the Tiger 1 and would like to add convoy lights.
What is this red circle on the back bottom left side of the Tiger 1? is this a light or reflector?

G'day Mr Burger, good to have you along.
That Tammy you built would be close to a cloectors item now!
The pic you put up is of the back end of a panther/jagdpanther so not the same layout as the T1.
There are a few good sources of these things around, but really depending on which T1 version you are doing will dictate the final look of the rear plate.
Is yours an early, mid, or late production ?
Also, if it's a command vehicle this will impact the look of the rear plate.

Glad you dropped anchor here & please feel free to load up on the pics, we like pictures & are happy to to help out where we can.

Hi Herman,
Thank you for your reply. Good catch on the wrong pic from my original post. Sorry about using the wrong pic, but I could not find a clear pic of a T1 with convoy lights. Here is a couple from T1's someone has modeled.

I guess my main question is what is the red circle on the left rear of this T1?
I would like to model the T1 #322 from s.Pz-Abt. 507 Not sure if this is mid or late?

Heres what my T1 used to look like when first put it together....back in those days I did not have to much attention to detail...but in my defense it was my first tank build :D
