Hi I had something like this a few weeks ago , easy fix for me it was the volume control was to near the main drive motor , it must have been the main drive motor EMF ,because as soon as I moved the volume control away it stopped. Worth a check try moving the volume control.

I found if I turn my sound up much more than 50% I get distortion issues on a few different sounds. It's just loud enough but I wouldn't mind being able to give it a bit more when need be. I had rev up sound issues at that level but resolved it by running that sound through Audacity and reducing the db level. The only issue now is that the rev is noticeably quieter than the rest of the engine sounds. I haven't had time to play around with it much more yet but my next plan is to try a non-ibu3 sound set.

I did some quick testing after I logged off last night and I can run at full volume with no feedback as long as only single sounds are playing. As soon as another sound effect mixes in I get some serious crackling through the speaker. If I get time tomorrow I will replace the .ibu sounds with .wav files and see if it makes a difference.

I'm hoping it's either the files or something in the software that can be fixed with an update. There's not much point having all that volume if you cant use it.

Delete all the sound files, then try reloading them again.

Bummer. I haven't had time to play around with mine lately so I don't have anything new to report but you've just tried what I was going to do so I'm not sure where to go from here?

Hi folks. I also had bad crackling on the rev up ,its like it wants to play the run sound rev and the tick over sound is always there, my IBU 3 is using the FRS8, I adjusted the delta frequency and things got better ,but there is still a slight crackle and the tick over plays constantly , maybe that's as good as it gets.

Is this still an ongoing issue? My IBU3 should be arriving next week and already I'm having regrets.

I believe people sorted it in the end.

Did the firmware update remedy it or did people have to work around it ,w/o a complete solution, by lowering the levels of one sound track over the other?
