Hello everyone

I’m new to this forum and the latest RC Tanks. My interest in tanks started in the late sixties with a Tamiya Chieftain and a Panther 1/24 scale, into which I installed Radio control they only operated forward and back and the battery lasted 5 minutes, but it was fun and I still have them.

Since then I have been into steam locos (they don’t break so easily), anyway Looking around for something different to do I came across 1/16â€

your right the bulldog is the best for reliability and fun and i see yours was a friday afternoon job

glad you got it all sorted i dont run smokers in any of mine for 2 reasons battery drain less time playing and they allways go poop on you

the one screw in the gearbox made me chuckle i think i had your screws in one of my pershings found 4 spares floating around

Welcome to the forum. I've got an interest in steam locos as well. Although in my case it was tanks first and then live steam. Good to see you here.

Well there you go then that’s me if it worked ok with out any hassle I would probably be fed up with it by now, the only thing that bothers me is that over a period of time I will have replaced all the plastic for metal.

Thats part of the addiction.

Pay £50 for a cheap Toy then spend another £250 adding metal bits. My girlfriend knows about the £50 but has no idea how much the "extras" are

Hi Al  Sounds oh so familiar. Tony paid about £18 plus postage for tiger205 (which was a basic H/L jobbie) then over the last two years or so spent over £1000+ in total upgrading everything he could possibly upgrade on it  ::)

Hi Welcome to the site hope you have fun here and if you need help just put a post on and someone will answer.If you buy a new tank, the first thing you should do is turn it upside down and shake if there are no rattles give it a run to check every thing works ,then strip it down and run the gearboxes and motors in .This way they will last longer then while its all apart you can do the paint job.
