Metal late Tiger I with rc5hl board
One of my favorite runners. It's a Taigen updated with the Rc tanks Australia rc5hl and radio.
Has a very inexpensive and cool upgrade from Rctanks australia
Cost me about $40 us dollars and I added a radio I had hanging around my shop.
When I bought it used on eBay it had a dodgy Taigen control.
The rc5hl was very easy to setup. I use the 5th channel to start and stop the tank. ( like you would press the start button on your stock Heng Long or switch the Taigen control.
It has steel 4:1 gears and every metal option.
It is a unique looking tank and the commander has been a nice addition.
Other than fitting s new set of tracks it has been very rugged and reliable.
It's fun to showcase your work and enjoy others!

Very nice indeed.
Do you have a video of it in action ? - be good to hear and compare to all the other great sound systems out there.

The sound is the sto k heng long-taigen. Rc5hl is just an adapter to use a good radio with it.Tiggr wrote:Very nice indeed.![]()

If you want better sound get an ASP2 from rc tanks australia. It has by far the best sound. CD quality, and you can connect 3 speakers with a lot of power.
My RC tanks website, loads of free info for everybody:

Or get a benedini or ibu3 or el mod, or tk60 whos sounds are superior to the aspRad_Schuhart wrote:Tiggr wrote:

Correct unlike the other boards this is used in conjunction with the rx18 from Heng Long. It's not a sound improvement but used to give you full 2.4ghz and a hobby grade radio. I tried it for the cost and it had worked very nicely
