I've more or less settled on getting a t34/85 and King tiger. maybe Tiger 1 in kit form?
I'm trying to get the tanks on from UK sellers on ebay due to the cheaper pound and the only taigen t34 around is the winter camo version and I prefer the soviet green.
is it difficult to dismantle the various fittings on the tank for repainting?
As for the King tiger, I'm looking for a henschel turret KT, preferably metal version and with the red oxide paint scheme.
Currently, the UK sellers only have the torro KT metal version (which is at the same price after conversion as other sellers elsewhere) OR a taigen KT with plastic porsche turret and chassis (which I am not too keen on). it seems there is a big price difference between the taigen airsoft version with porsche turret and the torro IR version with henschel turret.
This means I either have to:
Wait for a reasonably priced UK seller and repaint a torro KT
settle for a hengLong KT with plastic henschel turret.
or get the taigen KT and replace the turret with a heng long henschel turret?
I'm hoping that imex erik has a kit version of the henschel KT soon..
Also, from various youtube videos, the torro KT comes in a cardboard box but various dealers seem to be selling the tank in a heavy wooden crate? Are there any online shops that sell it without the heavy crate?

No way am I an expert, but try Amazon - think they've got the metal green T34. Found it
I was looking at the plastic version, but now getting a Heng Long from forgebear. Easier for spares and it's getting messed with at some point.....
