Tamiya DMD help

Post by jtracks »

I'm looking for some help trouble shooting my Tamiya DMD T-08. I removed my elevation unit to install a metal elevation arm because my stock plastic one gave out. When hooking everything back up and plugging in the turret function, I now have no power to the DMD unit, no lights on the unit and no sound. Here is what I've done to trouble shoot.

Changed the communication cable between the DMD and MF unit.
Followed the reset instructions for the DMD.
I moved switch S-3 on the MF to test the system. Sound works, Apple lights flash, machine gun flashes.
Battery is fully charged.

Any ideas anyone? Thank you.

If you've no lights at all sounds like there's no power, check the on/off switch and the battery connection. Does self test recoil the barrel?

That's strange, barel recoil comes off the mfu so should recoil.

I plugged the Sherman turret into my PZR 4, still no recoil, just elevation and traverse.

That's very odd, especially given the dmd issues.

Yep, and I am convinced now that it's not the switch. When I turn on the switch in the turret and do nothing else, there are no lights on the DMD, but I can hear a speaker hum, the receiver has power.

Cheers!
Yes, all are correct Eastern Front, thanks for the reply.

Barrel recoil is working. In my frustration, when I plugged the Sherman turret into the PZR IV, I forgot to swap the recoil plugs.
