New tank ?

Thinking of getting myself a DKLM Challenger lower hull and IBU3 combination, has anyone gone down this route and what are people's opinions. I know it's not the cheapest but I like to have the best set up I can afford.

Hello Steve, maxsollie has a few you tube video's up showing some of his tanks with the DKLM gear boxes. He is using the Clark system and not the IBU3.Unfortunately, they are not of the Challenger however. Thought this might get you in the right direction. I think he is known by maxmekker on this board.

Are you in the UK? If so,bear in mind you will probably get caught for import duty and VAT on the price, plus a handling fee charged by the carriers.

Yes in the Uk. Can the DKLM hulls be obtained in Europe ?

Could be worth contacting forgebear. He got me some figures at a very good price. If you email him from his web-site or pm him on here with your requirements, if he can he will come back with his best price, in my experience.

It's best tank I have super realistic. Only thing I have done is swapped out the DKLM 550 motor with a 55turn 540 motor (slower). Second video had original motor but was turned power down to 60% and I found too fast, so changed it and now just right.

Also go for the DKLM metal recoil and elevation unit.

Your post has brought a question Ian. When you set an IBU2 for 60% power, does it also have an effect on the torque. I know most motors have X torque at X RPM so I would assume it would be affected?
