Taigen all metal tanks

Post by aikmanmosquito »

Please excuse this question if it comes across a bit daft, but I am new to this hobby, bought the all metal Taigen Tiger and was wondering first of all what metal are these tanks made from, and secondly if it states metal hull and turret, is it all metal or are there some plastic parts to them?

Good morning,
From Taigen:
The Tiger 1 Early Version Metal Edition features a weathered grey paint scheme tank and is RTR out of the box. This Tiger 1 features a metal chassis, metal drive wheels, metal road wheels, metal caterpillar tracks, metal suspension arms, metal torsion bar suspension system, metal track tension adjusters, metal idler wheel arms, metal barrel, metal gun muzzle, metal tow hooks, metal hatches, metal turret with 360 degree rotation, metal LED headlights, and steel ball bearing gearboxes (Steel, 4:1, H/L, 48mm). This tank also comes with an accessory kit, 2000mAh NIMH battery and charger, LED machine gun, a smoke unit, speaker, recoil, 2.4 GHz transmitter, and an easy access hull latch for accessibility.
( Some of this like the 2.4GHz set is assuming that you bought one of the newer ones ) ( yes, some of the tank is plastic )
regards,
Painless

Good morning again,
I saw that you were also wondering what metal is used. I have read that a lot of zinc is used. Pot metal parts. The best metal parts that I have come across are the Schumo add-ons. Their price reflects this and a tank that was 'all' Schumo would cost more than a Tamiya. Like one of those South Korean numbers.
