Cappy reporting for duty

Hi All I'm a newbie to the RC Tank world and am awaiting delivery of my first tank - Taigen Pershing. I didn't think it would be hard to find a decent retailer and was about to give up. I looked at NitroTek but thankfully saw the reviews of them and discussions on FB about them so moved on. I originally placed an order with Speedy Models but despite them showing on their website they had one in stock it turned out they didn't. Took me two messages left on their voicemail and two emails before they admitted it but give them their due they refunded me immediately.
It turns out the place I'm getting mine from is literally just round the corner from me, RC Toy World. So I've had a chat with Barrie who runs it and he's ordered me one.
Now myself and a colleague are getting into this world of Tanks as we are both involved with a local Aviation Heritage Museum here in Suffolk. We both though it would be a good idea to start up Tank Battle area for our special events. This was an idea on the back of a Model event we held last year. A chap brought along his RC Tank and the visitors flocked to see it and the kids lined up to have a go. My colleague has already got his Taigen Tiger 1 (from RC Toy World) and when I get my Pershing we'll be set up. We have quite a bit of land at the Museum and in October we are holding a Vintage Vehicle day. Hopefully there will be a number of vehicles and it is at that event we're hoping to stage a mock Tank Battle. I'm currently building a small area up with walls, and some simple buildings but the plan is if it takes off we will build a village area for our Battles. I can see some more Tanks being purchased in the future.
As for me well I'm now 2 years retired after working for 42 years with BT. So I have lots of time on my hands for all this Tank malarky, oh and my Action Man collection (300 figures and loads of vehicles) and building a Lego town.
