Proud new ibu2 pro owner

Post by Jimigood »

um....ok...now what?

Ok I've been looking around and now lost.
What's a good transmitter/receiver for this?
Should I upgrade my battery, and if so to what?

Lots of options and opinions I'm not sure what way to go.
I know on the transmitter I want the sticks to just do movement and everything else done via switches. And both being self centering.
Suggestions? Thoughts?

You have a control board with brilliant sound potential,
It is easy to be attracted to a Radio with lots of channels and switches BUT the sound channels available are controlled from the Radio so you really do need at least TWO rotary controls,
That is one of the reasons I favour the Turnigy TGY 9x or its FLYSKY Clone,
I am biased so do be prepared to hear about other Radios, but don't forget the volume controls, you will need them and not all radios have them.
Shaun.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

I was looking at a turning 9xr pro but it's a little much price ways. I know nothing about these radios and I think that's the source of my confusion.

The Turnigy TGY9x is now discontinued but the FLYSKY 9x is identical and is still in production and is selling on E-BAY in the USA for $85 to $95 each.
The 9xr pro is the radio that has replaced the 9x and some people rate it very highly,
I am not one of them. :lolno:

By the way the Receiver for the TURNIGY TGY9x and the FLYSKY 9x are exactly the same and are readily available and are quite cheap.

That is a decent price EXCEPT "Hobbyking" have a nasty habit of loading very large postal charges on top at the last minute,
Do read the final summary page before confirming,

Got my turnigy 9x in. And I'm lost. Can not get the tank to do anything but make sounds. No movement what so ever.
