M50 Ontos

Post by jtracks »

Does anyone know of a manufacturer that produces the M50 ONTOS? I have a Marine friend who is pretty ill and served as a crew member on an Ontos during his Viet Nam tour. I would like to build him one, in any scale. Thanks for the help.

FOUND ONE, THANK YOU.

Academy makes one in 1/35 scale. Just do a Google search for "shopping" and lots of t-shirts and mugs come up but scroll down and these 1/35 Academy models pop up. Not expensive other then 1 pre-built on eBay for over $100.00.

Hope this helps and hope your Marine buddy gets better

145 HP!!! :haha: :haha: My 1200 Bandit only produces 97 BHP but a good friend/Biker has a Kawasaki 1400 GTR which produces 158BHP and there are plenty of Motor Cycles that are rated quite a bit higher than that and I am talking Tourer's not Plastic Rockets.
Astonishing to think that this was not only in the field in numbers but well regarded by the troops who used them.
Shaun.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Remember Terry, the Ontos only weighs in at 8 tons. My friend says it had plenty of torque however.

Thanks Terry. I did order the Academy kit. I also ordered this detail kit for it.
