Video camera attached to a TX.

Post by wibblywobbly »

Having spent years trying to hold a video camera while operating a transmitter, I had a brainwave. I wrapped some anti slip mat around the TX handle and used a handlebar clamp to mount the camera. Problem solved. Image

Hi Rob They say the simple ideas are the best, nice brain wave proves the old grey cells are still working.

I want to know when you're going to use that 3D printer in the background to make me some window frames. @) @) @)

Oh yeah, I also wanted to know what kind of camera that is. It's a great idea and i wonder if it will adapt for a regular camcorder. Also, have you had any issues with it being awkward to hold? I like to hold the TX fairly flat and it looks like your system would be easily adjustable, I just wonder if it's strange holding the TX still like that. And does that camera have a screen on the back?

It's a Chinese Go Pro copy SJ4000, have to say it has given me high quality images under some rather demanding environments. It rotates on the tx handle so I can set it wherever I want.

Sorry about the racket, the plastic case was resting on one of the clamp screws.. 8 mins on is better...

As for window frames.... :/
