4th of JULY

Post by jarndice »

I do hope the Forum members who call the United States of America home have a great holiday,
Just remember if it wasn't for the British being very well beaten you would not have this holiday. :haha: :haha:
Of course we aren't bitter. :silent:
Shaun.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Why thank you Shaun! We may have been rough on you red coats back in the day but we sure stepped up to help you those 2 WW's. ;)

Side note, it's kinda cool living near Fort McHenry where the Star Spangled Banner was written! I get to see it ever day at work from across the harbor, it really is cool when you take the time to just stand there and look at it and imagine all the history that happened there.

Sure is a great place to be learning about the formation of your great nation mate, the East coast.
Ive walked The Valley Forge and got an idea of the magnitude of the conflict from that.

Not for much longer Herman,
I don't think it will be long before we come round asking for a helping hand for "old times sake" :haha: :haha: Although my fantasy is in 18 months time we are as rich as Croesus and the EU are asking us for a loan,
I did say it was a fantasy. :lolno:

Once the presidential election is over we're screwed either way. Hillary will be letting ISIS walk all us and everyone else. Trump and the whole world will hate us even more then they already do. If Hillary wins we'll have open borders with the world and welcome ISIS right in more then they already are. If Trump wins we'll get a huge wall and again more hate.

What blows my mind is if you step back and look at what each one is running on its a no brained to vote for Trump. He wants to lower our national debt, put people to work and repeal laws that violate the Constitution. Hillary's platform is cutting jobs, trampling on the Constitution more, and allowing the muder of unborn babies to be unchecked. But again if Trump wins the world will hate us more. Crazy huh?

I wouldn't worry too much Jack, the Founding Fathers knew that one of these chancers would be in the Oval one day, You see how far either of them get when they come up the hill..
You think you have seen a stand off you ain't seen nothing yet.

Good evening, Jarndice,
Thank you for the Cheerful Greeting! It is appreciated and myself like many, enjoy the Holiday in full recognition of the cost it took to achieve and maintain Freedom. I'm glad that Great Britain and The U.S.A. are still partners in looking out for common interests and the prevention of Tyranny. Politics and Politicians will come and go but Ideals will live always in the hearts of those who cherish them.
regards,
Painless

Ah, yes. Happy Good Riddance Day! :D :haha:

I think we had a parade to celebrate July 4th when I was little, must have been 1976. Apparently a fair portion of the village had gone over with some of the earlier settlers.
