SUPPORT BEARINGS AND GEAR BOXES

Post by SCHWEREPANZER »

Hi All,

I'm looking for advice from the collective wisdom that forms this forum.

I'm in the early stages of building a Tamiya Tiger II. The chassis is fully built and I've temporarily fitted Kenny Kong tracks. They are heavy and lifting the beast pulls the drive sprockets slightly. So, I know I need to attach support bearings. But which ones? I'm also looking to a gear box set up. The model, when completed, is going to lead a relatively gentle operational life, but I still want it to have a robust transmission for it.

Any advice is much appreciated.

To be honest the flex is probably coming from the chassis. You would do well to fit a gearbox brace which should stop this flex. As far as bearings go

Might be worth trying eto see if he's got any stock
