A few years back now, Tony made this chess set. He made every bit of it himself, used marquetry on the chess box and board and made and handpainted all the figures. I borrowed it from the people who now have it in order to show his sister who had never seen it and I thought it would be nice to show you. The top of it is like glass to touch, yet typically of Tony, he was not satisifed with it.

that is beautiful alison and as you said he still wasnt happy with the end result a true craftsman :o :o

that is one of many things that i liked about tony his attention to detail and the strive to get things just so ;) ;)

that is a brilliant peice of craftman ship! i cant imagine you one would go about making that ! or finishing it to that high standard! :D it truely is a credit to Tony's skills,
