HL challenger 2 motors

Hi gents,
Just wondering what motors I can put in a hl challenger 2. looking to upgrade but not shore what motors I can use or where to get them from any help would be appreciated thanks 8)

Both these will fit.

You'll need a pinion puller to remove pinion and put on new motors.

What electronics do you use for that motors? I have the heng long red motors and my electronics stall with them.

The JP motors have a low current draw less than 5A for the 480 speed so should be okay with most electronics. don't have experience with the red cap motors so cannot comment on them stalling.

Ordered the 400 motors Wednesday arrived today, fitted to the chally and she is running mint very happy with them thanks gents just need steel gearbox and metal tracks now :)

hi paul, i have been and seen forgebear and got myself the sprockets with spacers, idlers and road wheels just need the tracks and gearbox now :) just waiting for him to get them bits in and i will be buying them i work round the corner from him so don't have to wait for the post man lol

Sorry to hijack your thread, a question that might help you too .I'm almost ready to start my challenger build , got the dklm tracks , wheels and sprockets + steel gearbox . Paul-Does this setup run fine without the need for track tensioner ?

i agree with paul mine runs fine i haven't changed the track length ether. i think they run better on the metal gear as when they where plastic my tracks kept drifting of the sprockets but now haven't had that problem
