1/16 static models? Who supplies kits?

Post by wibblywobbly »

I am looking at building a few 1/16 static kits to add to my collection of RC tanks, they should look good as battlefield add-ons.

I have looked around on Google but can't find much at all.

Does anyone know of a supplier??

Just things like artillery, half-tracks, staff cars etc? The only items I have seen are quite expensive, though I may be too used to HL RC being so cheap!

Hi If you are looking for stuff thats a reasonable price try looking for 1/18 scale not to far off scale and there alot cheaper than 1/16 static or 120mm but there well expencive and usualy resin .

only stuff I've seen are things like the Indiana jones stuff that OZ, (i think it was OZ), told me about on one of his threads, the truck looks really nice as does the motorcycle, the figures could do with a lick of paint to add life to them, the only thing I wasnt impressed with was the mg on the troop carrier, BUT this is an easy fix, an MG34 or MG42 will sort it. the GI joe stuff looks ok too, especially the halftrack, Im still nosing around for stuff myself so will let you know if I find anything.

Hmmm...I have a pile of styrene sheets and a another pile of tools. I might try building an artillery gun. That will be a challenge as I have never done anything like that before.

Andrew Design has some kits that you may like to have a look at.

We find that AD Kits has quality level that is higher than Tamiya's.

Those Andrews Designs look good, and not too expensive either. I will have a look around for a UK supplier!
