Future C-in-C US armed forces- MacTrump?

Post by 43rdRecceReg »

Having just won Hawaii, and many other states, the bizarre and improbable prospect of of a semi-Scotsman, Donald MacTrump, becoming US president... and therefore C-in-C of all US armed forces..looks increasingly likely :lolno:
Stranger still, is that MacTrump is actually a MacLeod from the Isle of Lewis (his mother was Mary MacLeod from lewis). Thus, with his ancestry, if he had any sporting prowess (his tsunami wave hairdo suggests surfing) he would actually be eligible to represent Scotland in a given sport.. (hair) Curling, perhaps?. In the event that he does the impossible, and takes the White House, he can build golf courses all over existing military bases. Q: what is he likely to do with all those nice M1A1 Abrams? A: convert them into Hobart style barbed-wire fence making utility tanks :haha: :haha: There can be only one MacLeod MacTrump!!

Don't you guys watch South Park? If you did you'd have already learned that almost every time when it comes to elections you have two choices - A Giant Douche or a Turd Sandwich.
When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!

Good afternoon,
I normally stay silent on the subjects of politics or religion because they are guaranteed barn burners on any forum. I am only speaking up because this election cycle is enough to make a strong man weep. I'm a Republican but find I cannot vote for any of the clowns that have hopped out of the clown car these past few years. Neither Pope Ted the 1st nor Hrumph! or Little Marco or Chillery nor Burnie offer any real way forward to fix the things that ( admittedly, we Amis allowed to happen ) are wrong with politics in America. Sheesh...
regards,
Painless

No No Rob, You have it all wrong, Until that man with the interesting coiffure loomed over the horizon I had hoped we could have been absorbed into our former colony, :{

I have never really understood the manner in which the US chooses it president. Take the current situation, how can someone who has never had any experience of public service, has never held any elected office, and from what I have seen, has no actual policies that are relevant to the running of the economy or the world situation, become a candidate for a political party and potentially president. It would seem to an outsider that it is virtually possible to buy one's way into the job. At least Ronald Reagan had been governor of California.

I realise commenting on people's politics is a dangerous game, so if I have caused offence, my apologies. I would just like to try and understand.

Shaun, fair point. We'd also need them to stop playing rounders & learn to play rugby properly! :D

May I point out that the United States are the current 15 a side Olympic Rugby Union champions, having won the gold medal in 1924, the last time it featured in the OIympics.
