I'm not sure if they have swapped the pot metal gearboxes out on the ones from rctank.de but aside from that they look good!

I didn't know that H/L made a Jagdtiger?

Are you sure it's H/L? I looked on their website and didn't see where they had a Jadgtiger available.

Ohhhhhhh. :{ I'm sorry.
In this case I can help you then. The Torro Jagdtiger has a metal lower hull with torsion bar suspension, all metal running gear and tracks. Possibly lower gearboxes depending upon which one you get
That all right there makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE! Also all the metal detail bits that Torro includes that H/L doesn't.

Hope this helps but let me know if you need anything else.

I suppose it's a matter of personal choice...if I had to choose between the jagdtiger and a HL Sherman, I'd pick the latter.. ;)
remember...it's just a plastic tank... :/

I thought you guys knew. I was the recipient of the very first Imex/Torro Jagdtiger shipped from the Imex Model Company in Florida. Right about the time I joined this forum. There should be a thread somewhere.

Andy, there's a ton of video at my youtube channel. If you have trouble sing out and I'll post a few videos here for ya. Now, it's important to clarify that Imex tanks are NOT the same as what you get from rctank.de, or any other Torro dealer. First, mine came with the four shaft all steel, all bearinged (is that even a word?) gearboxes. I don't know if they've come up with a name yet but they're the latest and greatest in HL style GBs. Imex goes over each and every tank before shipping out to be sure all is well, and they have just about the best customer service guy in the universe. The only way he could be better is if he was a really hot, bazooka totin' babe.

I put an IBU2 in mine that I got from Tankbear and he loaded it with the proper soundset, including the 128mm cannon. I have a sample of that somewhere if you want to hear it. Great guy, that Ian, and the IBU2 has the TPA with a viper for volume control from the TX (engine only, haven't decided if I want to put in another viper - if it stays on a 6 channel I want a moving MG34). It's definitely the jewel of my collection, and i have big plans for it (eventually). I'm considering putting it together with the flysky i10 I picked up, just for kix.

Is it worth the coin? I guess it depends what kind of deal you can get, and i bought mine in what you guys think of as play money but if you can get one delivered to your house for $575 USD (whatever that is in sterling, and I won't mention that we use gold - don't look at me like that, I'm just razzin' y'all) I would say, ... Is it worth it? ... Does the Pope wear a tall hat? Or is he the one that poops in the woods? I'm easily confused sometimes.

Let me know if you want to see video or if you have specific questions.
When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!

Hang on a H/L Sherman over a Torro Jagdtiger? Ummmmm.....ok. :lolno: I guess if you've never built one of them you just can't know how nice these things are.
