Hi Guys,
I am looking for a good general reference for the Abrams. I have two Tankograd pubs which are great but limited to specific details on the SEP/TUSK and the SEP V2. I am looking for something with broader coverage and more general detail photos.
Anyone have any suggestions?
TIA,
Barry

Here a good around book
Very often found on ebay
M1 Abrams Tank In Action (2013 edition)
HARDBACK EDITION
By David Doyle
Squadron Signal Publications, 2013. Brand new 11 x 8 hardback. 128 pages. 230 photographs plus detailed line drawings and a color profile.
The Abrams family of tanks has been America's premier main battle tank for over 30 years, and remains arguably one of the most formidable tanks in the world. The first tank to boast a power plant with a 1,500-h.p. gas turbine, the M1 also features air conditioning - primarily for its advanced electronics, but also, by default, for its crews. Conceived during the height of the Cold War, the Abrams has never been called upon to combat a global superpower, but nevertheless has seen extensive combat - particularly in Iraq and Afghanistan.
This volume focuses on those combat experiences, in particular the victories and losses of the Abrams and crews on the front lines.

I had considered the "In Action" book from Squadron as I have about a 100 of them though mostly aircraft. They are good references but have found some of them lacking in good quality photos.
I visit Prime Portal quite frequently!
What I am looking for may not exist; a good quality HB publication covering the Abrams with "lots" of good quality photos.
Thanks,
Barry

Hey there Barry....I had to search a little for the link...but this is a site that was provided to me by Sassgrunt...had to search my build thread...wasn't there...finally found it on ATC's thread...it's not bad ..has a lot of info on modern armor and was very useful during the M1's Creation

Oh man, that is just so awesome. I haven't seen M1s using foliage for camo. My HL Leo2 has some foliage. I think I'll put foliage on my HL M1 too. Great pix, thanks for sharing!TheSynchronizer wrote:Here's a few pictures of our Sep V2's when I was in Germany
