Taigen recoil barrel extension?

When the barrel is not extended does simply turning the tank on extend it or do you have to activate the fire signal to cycle it out again? Reason is new taigen but radio set up with this TBS/BARC not here yet and barrel isn't extended when power is on.

The rest position is extended.

Thanks Tom. Extending the barrel slowly by hand and letting it slowly pull back in again won't hurt anything will it? Electrical contacts etc.

Nope you should be fine, it won't stick though and will ping back

tao, did you install the Taigen recoil yourself ? If you are still on stock electronics (Taigen/Heng Long) you will need to run a negative to the main power for the recoil reset itself everytime you power up the tank/finish the last recoil. Otherwise you will be constantly stuck and having to pull the barrel back out.

Hey guys thanks for the fast replies! The issue was TBS/BARC 3 on my Tiger and KT wasn't triggering recoil on new tank with upgraded BARC-4. (BARC interfaces with TBS and RX-18. Don't have the radio that is bound to it yet...so tried to run everything with old BARC/TBS in new Panther tank... everything worked except recoil. Finally noticed it was because the new set up has the RX-18 recoil pulse wire running into the BARC 4 ..which now triggers recoil..long boring story but quandary solved!
