Thanks for posting this. It's a good looking tank and a much needed item in our hobby. There were a lot of T-72 variants and I can't wait to see what the kitbashers do with this beauty.

I've only been tanking for about three years so I've never actually seen a WSN tank before. Can you still buy the T-34, and if so, where? Were the WSN tanks good products or did they have some of the same problems that plagued the Heng Long tanks, like the weak idlers on Tiger Ones? It sounds like you have some knowledge on the subject, Warrant Officer One, can you enlighten a poor noob?

Walterson's is also releasing a T-72, right? Thoughts on which would be the way to go? I doubt they can match trumpeter for detail. I've done a LOT of trump aircraft kits and they're finest kind.
When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!

Max,
I loved my WSN T-34 and the only problem I noted over the years is that the plastic suspension arms were weak and deformed with age. That and it was an early effort from WSN\Trumpeter and the electronics were interesting to say the least. The detail on the tank was beautiful tho', opening driver hatch and spare track links and tow cables in copper just name few bits.
regards,
Painless

An opening and fully detailed driver's hatch. Again, stock from WSN. This RC tank really did benefit from being sourced from a model kit..JPG

My biggest concern is to convince anyone near me to buy any brand of 1/16 T-72 and turn it into an RC tank because my NATO tanks desperately need targets to engage hehehehe

While having a 1/16 RC T-72 would be nice, it'd, like, so clash with my NATO platoon, and since I have only space for four tanks, all of which has been reserved for NATO (still wondering wot the fourth would be, probably an upgrade Polish Leopard 2), I'd have no space for any targets - er - non-NATO tanks so...

Hey ninelong, can I bother you and your friends to buy an RC T-72 so my NATO tanks have targets? hehehehehe!
