I have one too, This one came from RCtank.de..with a finish that's so good, all I had to do was add some decals (not present here, obviously...but it's now turret no. '308'). This is the Torro Metal Edn (airsoft), and also came..like yours.. with an ammo box for storage. The only quibble I have is that the on/off switch/battery charger socket unit, is below the the engine access hatch. When the gun is facing forward- as it needs to be for the beast to fit back in the storage crate- you can't access the on/off switch, because the turret now obscures it. That's a bit of an oversight of Torro's part, but hey ho, it's still a superb piece and weighs in at around 14lbs. Mine is due to get an ASP in the future...and should look great trundling round the Highlands in the Summer...

Very nice indeed. Yes I noticed the hatch was covered too, which as you say is a pain, but I suppose you just pop the latch and lift the back up enough to reach in and switch it off. I'll apply the stickers at the weekend probably, I only unpacked mine tonight to have a look and check it was undamaged. Mine came from Tankzone (ordered before I read the blacklist) however I was told when it would arrive and I spoke to Kin on the phone to confirm my order had been received. Mine is the Infrared version, so I'm looking forward to trying the battle feature out soon.
After reading good reports about RCtank.de, I'll probably buy spares from them. Outdoor pics and videos soon hopefully.

Sound advice...the rctank.de option for tanks and upgrades, or even seductive images of new Panther tanks :D Good luck with the new beast. A word of advice though, given the weight of it, it's good practice to relieve the tension on the tanks' s suspension when it's not in use. I have a block of 4 x 2 under mine..and it's perfect for keeping the springs in tip top condition.

That's one good lookin' cat. And that case looks pretty darn sturdy. They don't come with the wooden box here in the states, they say it keeps cost down. So how much extra do you think you paid because of the wooden box, and do you think it was worth it? Will the box make a good carrying case? Is it really as sturdy as it looks?

I can't wait to see what you do with it, and video of it running would be fantastic. I have the Porsche turret plastic version and after a henntec and the tracks form my Torro JT it's finally a decent tank, but those Torro King tigers look great right out of the gate.

I hope you have loads of fun with it! :)

Hi Max-U52, I'm not sure about the extra cost of having the box, all I know is the wife took a fancy to it and tried to steal it. I told her in no uncertain terms that she wasn't having it. She liked it so much that she went straight on the internet to try and buy one, sadly it seems Torro don't sell them seperately. In terms of strength, it could do with a couple of limiting straps to stop the lid from tearing the hinges off, but other than that, it's perfectly useable. Inside, the polystyrene is made to measure, so it's ideal for storing the tank and controller etc. It's quite wide and has rope handles at each end which feel sturdy. It's quite wide, so loading it in the van from the side is a bit of a squeeze. I Love the KT, but haven't had a chance to take it outside yet, I've just been leaving tank track marks on the carpet. I've been making some camouflage netting and adding that to the turret, other than that not a lot else yet.

Heng-long-panzer.de sell the boxes ("holzkisten"..or wooden chests) independently, I think @ 65euros for the KT....https://heng-long-panzer.de/rc-panzer-s ... 8cd3314256
