HL Sherman - finding a .30 Cal Commander's MG

Good Morning Folks, after watching Fury and several B/W clips that were on the extras I reckon I need a .30 Cal Commanders M/G mounted on top of my HL Sherman's turret. However, I can't for the life of me find any supplier that does one in 1:16! Lots of .50's but none smaller. Can anyone advise please. Cheers Ian

There's a guy on us eBay that sells the resin turret/kit and he sold me a .30 cal when I bought the kit. You could ask him?

I'll hunt for his eBay name.

Hi Furious, you could buy the metal one i have for sale right now. You would of course get a very nice British Sherman with it free of charge :haha:

Thanks for all the tips guys,sadly RC Tanks don't appear to do a.30 cal anymore but Forgebear has been in touch and he should have some in soon.

Did you try looking at the 30 the HL M1 comes with?

With a little bit of work...I'm sure it could easily be converted backwards to a WWII version

Absolute dogs poo.I think by now heng long should be able to provide a good representation of a .50cal!!!!!!and .30cal!!!!!!.Brian...

:haha: :haha: :haha: I agree....those two guns are pretty badly cast...but with that said...sure makes them good candidates for some chopping ;) All I used were the support framework ...the rest is history....and that 30...not sure it is even a 30...could be a M249...no matters though with a little work I think a good modeller could turn it into a convincing 30 ;)

Depending on what you want to pay Shapeways 3D printing site has some good gear in 1/16 from a number of different designers lots of different eras...
