IBU2 Issue
IBU2 Issue
Hello all,
I have a small IBU2 issue for you!!
Forward produces: Left track movement in the appropriate direction but no right track movement.
Reverse produces: Right track movement in the appropriate direction but no left track movement.
Steering produces: Right and Left spin as it should.
Cannon produces: Recoil in the left track only in the appropriate direction,. (Reverse)
I have set my tx up with 100 travel on all channels and ZERO mixing, expo or d/r's.
I have swapped channel 1 with 2 and can make it drive by swapping motor wires and reversing functions but loose all steering when driving.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

This is a brand new install and I have had no response from the US dealer so lets hope not!!!

Jerry will get back to you have patience. Working in one direction but not another is usually FET related. Chances are small but these things do happen.
Re: IBU2 Issue
Hi You say when you spin the tank it acts as should , when you turn left is the right track moving forward and left track moving backwards and visa versa when you turn left. if you get this your board is working just have to sort out radio .

Re: IBU2 Issue
Yes, right stick produces left track forward and right track back, and reverse for left stick. I have tried it with a futaba 4 non computer radio and its the same. I have calibrated multiple times with each.

Re: IBU2 Issue
Mmmmm, i suppose engine channel (IBU ch1) swapped with steering channel (IBU ch2).
Try this, if doesn't work probably Tomhugill is right ...
Cheers

Re: IBU2 Issue
The other thing Ian mentioned is momentum. You might have channels switched and momentum on which creates the odd effect. If you've got drive setup on right stick. Move your left stick to bottom left and hold for 5 seconds to turn momentum off
Re: IBU2 Issue
Hi Ok were getting somewhere if what you say the right track moves forward when you steer left ,good news the board works , somewhere along the way settings or wiring is wrong. First thing to check are motor wires connect first one motor to a battery red to positive and check direction of track make sure they both go the same way (if different swop one so they are the same direction forwards). Next is to reset SD card set ch1 and ch2 so they read the same . Turn off momentum (leave ch 3 and 4 they are working).next make sure you wire it like the manual says left motor to left drive right motor to right drive , check ch 1 and 2 are connected correctly to receiver. when you have done this ,tell us what is happening to your tank goes back when you select forwards ect don't worry what its doing we can fix that as long as both tracks are moving forwards and backwards . make sure you have a fully charged battery and momentum is turned off it makes it easy to see what is happening.

P.S I had a tank ran forward and back as normal spun left and right as normal but drive forward and turn left it went right I was scratching my head for ages had to go back and do the above had a wire wrong on motor.

Re: IBU2 Issue
Ok, I have been working on this most of the night and have a few more details.
Following the IBU manual to the letter with a standard (Futaba Mode 1 NON COMPUTER 4ch) I get the this. Right stick forward produces left track forward but no right track movement. Right stick back produces right track reverse but no left track movement. Right stick left/right produces right and left track movement in the appropriate directions (Tracks in opposite directions of each other) and direction of travel can be changed by reversing channel 2. Left stick functions as it should but only produces recoil on the left track in the appropriate direction. MOMENTUM IS OFF!
I am running a 3s lipo and dip is set as per manual.
Swapping Channel 1 and 2 I get this. With right forward/reverse stick applied I get both tracks moving together and can swap around the polarity to make them go in the proper direction. Right stick left/right produces single track movement (Right stick left track forward - Left stick right track forward) and recoil remains the same.
Time for coffee!!
