Re: Tanks on The Bridge
Hey Greengiant,
The Bridge sides are made from dimensional lumber, 2x4 spruce cut lengthwise and band sawed the arches. the road is 1/4" thick birch ply. Glued to wood struts attached to the bridge spans. Painted with acrylic paint, base coat of black then sides builtup with off white, grey and black lines for detail. road same base with grey and burnt umber /red streaks. The street lamps are from the dollar store Christmas village collection and the battery compartments hot glued under the roadway. I'll post more pics of the underbelly and layout. any more info let me know, had fun building it in my shop took longer to paint then to build from scrap lumber.

I'm in the process of making a bridge as well.....when not in use they make a great display stand....

Re: Tanks on The Bridge
That's so atmospheric, especially with the lights, it almost looks romantic
Perhaps a couple sneaky commando figures under the bridge, faces blacked out, and armed with sticks of dynamite would add a certain WW2 tension to the scene
...and don't forget the guards behind sandbags, with a trusty MG42 to intimidate the passing traffic...

Re: Tanks on The Bridge
I noticed you use the word "trying"...now aside from those great looking lights....is the bridge also rigged Gomez Addams???? In other words...Does it blow up or something?Firefly wrote:Build a Bridge for my tanks, heres 2 of them trying to cross.

ALPHA,
they try.... for the Cat or Dog do impose when movement is apparent. Hence the Bridging while the moon is not lit and the Bridge is Awash.. lol
