Mato Sherman suspension/ top notch

Post by tao »

I hear the Mato metal Sherman suspension is among the best out there?

Plus saw this video and it does look smooth!

Greetings Tao...I think that video should be preceded by this one...looks like that is a "modified" Mato Suspension

Personally I like the Heng Long suspension better...the arms are independent...the stock Mato isn't and pretty much just rocks like a see saw...can't say much about Taigens though...haven't seen one of those in pieces yet

The mato metal suspension is actually slightly better than the HL as the top arms actually slide on the lower ones...also the wheels are slightly smaller than the massive mato plastic ones..
remember...it's just a plastic tank... :/

remember...it's just a plastic tank... :/

I have some of the metal suspension fitted to my British Sherman 11A and have to say that it works brilliantly.
In fact it is one of my best running and most reliable tanks by far.
Cheers

Thanks Dave...that's good to know ....as I have acquired both for my upcoming Firefly build....tinkered with the plastic ones which I found totally unacceptable :haha: ...Stripped the wheels off of those and tossed the rest into the Junk box....got a metal set...didn't tinker with those as the breakdown looked so very similar ...was planing to just strip the wheels off of those and go with the HLs as they have worked great in the past

I'm actually glad now that Tao brought this issue up...a lot of good info from people I respect...thanks for the input Dave...Metal Matos for me Firefly ...Happy days :D

 ...There ya go Frank...now I will have to caliper the wheels before choosing which ones to use lol.....might make extending my chassis a bit easier or a lot trickier ...guess we'll see :haha: :haha:
