Just a walk on part in the Theatre of the Absurd, Gov; but I though you might appreciate it!

Re: New Chally Driving Instructor !
Many years ago when I was young and used to go out training on a daily basis I remember slogging up a hill in the middle of North Yorksire, the kerbs where unusually high which should have given me a clue and warned me as to what was about to happen.
I heard a distant rumble/roar what grew to deafening proportions and then through the trees the British Army's only working Chieftain appeared laying a cloud of blue smoke. The seemingly out of control tank was swearving from side to side and appeared to be bouncing of one kerb to the other. The really strange thing was the cheap plastic L plate taped to the front and what must have been an instructor spread eagled across the glacis who was screaming obscenities and attempting to punch a very terrified young driver's head that occasionally appeared. I jumped out of the way and let the speeding tank career past down the hill, I can still remember some of the phrases the hapless instructor used.
I never knew Chieftains could go so fast nor did I discover what happened to the tank. Surely, training procedures have been amended since then? The addition of a Darlek makes perfect sense to me.

Thanks, all and DRC that's just how I pictured it too; but I must find a means of overlaying 'thought' and 'speech bubbles' on these pics..sort of cartoon style. M-E-R-R-Y X-M-A-S !! OR you will be....legless!!!... probably (spoken with sonorous metallic cockney style accent)

Ah, yes, Mr ubiquitous Brigadier- you're seemingly capable of appearing in all threads simultaneously and, judging by the astronomical number of posts you've made ( I thought one '0' must be purely accidental!), it can only point to one thing: you have ceased to exist altogether in human form, and you're just a bio-electrical entity that lives in the forum in the form of "0"s and '1's.
Yep, you can stream directly form the Net, and Youtube, (maybe the exquisite 'ARSSE.co.uk" website too) all manner of wondrous oddities; nay, you can even enter the firmware of members' tanks for a spot of mischief (followed by Muttley's laugh wheezing though the sound card, of course)..and announce to unsuspecting partners, the true cost of that recent 'upgrade', and the whereabouts of furtively acquired tanks...metal turrets, and gearboxes. Ah, the wonderful schadenfreude of it all!! Quel mischief!!
Truly, sir, you are the 'ghost in the machine' with a quite unique, and dastardly, comic streak. Long may it be thus. A Merry digital Christmas to you, and happy mayhem in the New Year!
Ooooh, I've just become an NCO,it seems... better hang onto that stripe..and mind my Ps and Qs
