Hi there, i just bought a pair of HL's blue g/box installed them and found some problems which i do not have a clue...
It is like this when i started the engine
Old gearbox(original gearbox) + rough right stick movement(abrupt moving up, down, left, right) = No engine shutdown
New HL gearbox + rough right stick movement(abrupt moving up, down, left, right) = Engine shutdown(quench engine off)
Can some body help, can't drive my tank like this man...
Thanks!

NGKGTATT,

1. Tried fully charging your battery and see if the same thing happens.

2. If it does, your new motors are probably drawing too much power either from the battery (more powerful battery needed) or too much draw from your MFU and cause it to shutdown which is not good.

How powerful type of battery should i use? I am currently using a 7.2v 1700mAH battery at this time? Would a 7.2v 3300mAH battery do the trick?
Please reply bro...

NGKGTATT,

The mAh rating is for capacity, not for how much current it will deliver. I know that lipo battery would have the C ratings, but don't know if you know what the rating is for your NiMH. either way, I think the motors are drawing too much power thru the MFU anyway and causing it to shutdown. You can in theory put some diodes on the motor to slow them down and reduce the draw, but I think you might need to look at upgrading your MFU as that is still the bottleneck you are trying to get around.

I think there is another thread about slower motors down using diodes. That might be a good easy test since you just solder in the diode to see if the problem goes away. If it does you can either keep the diode if it is okay with you, or replace the MFU with a upgraded ones if not.

Here is the thread for slow down (reduce the current draw) from the motors.
