Radio Control Jagdpanzer 38t "Hetzer"

Post by Craigm1992 »

Hi all I've got a little question I'm going to ask out of interest, and I hope I have put this in the right forum.

I've always wondered but have only seen some on youtube videos, that are they any Hetzer RC models?

It seems odd that there is not a market retail version as from what I have seen from various online sources the Hetzer is quite a popular machine :)

Herman does Hetzers. His screen name on RCU is Green Amphibian, and I think he's also a member here. They're not cheap, but Herman does a great job and turns out a quality tank. Erik has one and he really loves it.
When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!

So you start with this from SOL:

Then you need to pick-up a donor kit - lower chassis of a 38t:

And then decide if you want a 3D printed RC kit from Clark:

http://www.clark-model.com/eng/kit_116_38t/index.htm

Or a Custom kit form 35rctank

You are probably looking at $700 USD when you are done but definitely possible.

Ooops..... Forgot about Mr. Ludwig. :-)

Nice kits. Just built one and have another one on the side.

Thanks for the replies guys :)

Very interesting links, good to know there is such a variety of options if you want a tank or armoured vehicle no matter how rare or obscure it is.

Might be a bit out of reach of my current budget. Maybe a lottery win or lucky bet :D

Was going to mention Ludwig, about 5 times cheaper than hermans, and his stuff is great quality.
