Hi all, i have added a bit of detail tonight while i wait for a replacement diamond pattern plastic sheet for the floor as the first piece was too small.
The transmission tunnel is pretty well complete, and ive added pipes and hinge & latch detail to the boxes on the sponsons.
Ive still got to complete the lids for the 37mm ammo bins.

I did a bit of work tidying up the inside of the turret which i will really have to start detailing next.
This will involve scratch building a breech for the 37mm gun as one of the first tasks.
Ive also cut out the circular base for the turret basket, but i have not yet got a plan for how i an going to construct it yet.

Cheers
Tim

Cheers for that.
I'd best pull my finger out and do an update soon.
Since the last post i've built & fitted the driver's seat and then stripped out the turret and started work on the 37mm gun breach.
This is going to need a lot of detail work scratch building evan though i am only planning to do fairly basic level of detail.

I also got some deliveries frmo Armorpax & East Coast Armory last month and now have a lot of work ahead.

Cheers
Tim

Tim, it might be too late in your build for this suggestion, but for the breech you might want to consider using parts from the Dragon 1/6 M3 gun kit. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-6-Dragon-WWII ... SwR0JUQOZG The kit isn't very expensive, and you might also be able to use the gun trunnions. (And maybe save the wheels for a Jeep trailer).

I'm using one of these for an LVT turret (same as the M5 turret but without the radio bustle). You'll still need to scratchbuild a co-axial machine gun mount for it, since the M3 towed gun doesn't have one. The turret is an experiment, by the way - it was a spare I had no use for. I figure that if it turns out well. I'll save it and see if I ever want to attempt the rest of the vehicle, (and it's making the grousers for the tracks that will be the deciding factor, I think). -Mike
