comanders hatch king tiger/panther

hi guys,  I am currently sourcing spare parts for my tamiya panther . I need the turret hatch cover and have found a seller online that stocks all of the plastic parts for all tamiya kits. The sprue containing the hatch cover costs 21 euros and all i need is the hatch cover. However i can get the sprue from the king tiger containing the hatch cover for 10 euros and there are loads more useful parts on the sprue that i can use . my question is will a king tiger hatch cover fit a panther hatch?. Does anyone on here own both models who could check for me , i would be very grateful.

hi glyn.
off the top of my head no it wont fit,but if you shorten the hatch swing arm and lightly sand  around the edge it should be ok...........tony
