New from East Yorkshire

Post by Spitfire1954 »

Hi – I am new to the world of RC Tanks, although I have been building RC models for many years (planes, cars, boats). I thought I would join the world of RC tanks as I have always had an interest in them, so I have purchased a HL Sherman with the metal upgrade etc. I shall be asking questions later once I have had chance to examine the contents of the large package! First impressions – looks great! plenty of scope for detailing, painting.

Good morning,
Welcome to the Forum! The Sherman is a great tank for a Build. So many variants and all so interesting and historic. Take some time and read through some of the excellent builds done on the venerable Sherman here, Tamiya and HL and Mato types included.. Please post pics of yours once it is unpacked. We love to kick the virtual road wheels around here and chat over respective armor and favorites.
regards,
Painless

Hallo Charles, Welcome to the Forum.
When you begin your journey into the world of Tank Building one of the first things you will say, especially as you have a Sherman is "WHERE THE H*LL DOES IT ALL FIT"?
There is not a lot of space within the Hull, but as Painless wisely advised, do check all the Sherman/M4 builds both HENG LONG/TAMIYA and MATO and you will see how it all fits.
Of course you will hit a problem, and that is when you should not hesitate "ASK" we love showing how clever we are and some of us actually are! (Present company excepted)
Enjoy this place we do.

Welcome

I too have only just joined and got a warm welcome. I'm from Dunswell which, as you will know is in East Yorks and only just outside Hull. I'm running three Tigers so there's a chance we might meet on the field of battle.
