Today at about noon three of the guys from DTC and myself got together at Green Acres Park in Hazel Park Michigan. I can't really call it a Battleday as there was no actual battle, but I got a chance to test the Imex/Taigen Tiger One Early with the IBU2/Turnigy 9X and the Impact Battle Unit against a bunch of Tammy compatible IR battle tanks. The two guys with tanks I really wanted to get photos of didn't show. That seems to be the biggest problem at DTC, getting them all together at once. The whole thing was much too short, if you ask me, beginning at about noon and by 1:30 the guys were all leaving. But, I got a few pics and they're all good guys that I like to get together with so maybe next year will be better. They may meet again this year, but once I need a jacket I won't be going. I'm definitely crazy to be living in Detroit because to me 75 degrees Fahrenheit is chilly. Anybody need a good machinist in Arizona, or Florida, or Southern Alabama?
I really wish some of the guys from Canada would start coming over for these things. We have some very talented guys right across the river but they don't seem to want to cross that border.
Anyway, these are the photos I took, and I also got an 8 minute video but it's not uploaded yet. The two Tiger Ones are mine, and if you look close you can spot the anti aircraft Walker Bulldog and the Opel Blitz. The guy in the ball cap has an excellent static kubel I wanted to get shots of but he didn't bring it today.
