Damn it! My 1 airbrush died so I went to eBay and picked up this guy.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/381301070988?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT Similar to the one that crapped out but from a different company so I HOPE the fittings are the same or I'm going to be a tad upset. Seemed like a pretty good deal seeing how I don't have over $100 to drop on one, anyone have any experience with "MASTER" brand airbrushes?

They are good Jack...the only problem is if they break you can't get parts ...some chinese brand needles and velo tips fit...but you have to find the right ones

So how did you kill your airbrush...no way was it salvageable ?

Thanks Alpha. It was leaking air internally and couldn't pick up any paint. I took it apart and couldn't figure out what was wrong, it was cheap, so I figured screw it I'll buy a new one. It came with the set of 3 I bought with the compressor so no HUGE lose. Just kinda ticked me off it died when I was going to put in the base coat of my Tiger so I was forced to use the gravity airbrush and fill it up 4 times, kind of a pain but it works best out of the set.

Is it back flushing? or is it the trigger valve...you can get replacements of those...If it's back flushing on it's own...your nozzle is clogged ...or the head assembly is loose or it's missing the o ring seal

Not sure where it was leaking all I know is the compressor just kept cycling on to try to keep the pressure up. It was spotless inside, no paint clogs or even bits of paint. It just wouldn't hold pressure and stopped picking up paint so into the trash can it went.

Once upon a time when an airbrush was a very expensive piece of quality engineering it came with a service kit, now because they are so cheap we throw them out.
I like that I don't have to think about whether I can afford one but I do regret the loss of a quality piece of workmanship.
I am the proud owner of a digital caliper, it is a very useful thing and it cost me about £10 new, not so long ago it would have cost a months wages.

Oh the global economy,

I am waiting for it to catch up with the sorry state of affairs in Western Europe and North America when I fully expect it to bite us on the bum! We have worked our way through the cheap work forces of Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan. and soon China,
Who is next to be taken advantage of before we end up with everybody on the same income and the roundabout still turning?
When the demand for cheap consumer goods continues but there is no one left to supply we might be forced into becoming a manufacturing nation again!!!

Shaun, you're preaching to the choir reverend! The infrastructure in the U.S. is crumbling to the point where stuff is falling apart around us and no one wants to fix anything cause it'll cost too much.

Thanks Alpha but it would have cost more to ship it back and forth then it would have to buy a new one. I found the exact one on eBay again it goes for $14.00

Glad you found those inexpensive ones...tried finding them for you the other day....there was an outfit in florida selling them for like 12 to 14 dollars...tried to jump on one...but they don't ship to Hawaii...they are great guns for the price....I would have got two if they let me

I have too many airbrushes already though
