Mato M4A1 sherman

Hi Im new to this hobby and bought a mato M4A1 Sherman tank from forgebear, the problem is the wiring in mato tank wont fit taigen 2.4ghz radio set I got as well, don't know what I need to get tank running, any help much appreciated.

The plastic version or the Metal?....Think the metal one comes with HL electronics...and the Plastic pure mato...I would say check with Painless Wolf or Look for his build ...He did a conversion on his Mato....Me...I stripped everything out

As far as I know the all metal Mato Sherman only comes with the Clark TK22 (RTR) or it's pretty much bare. I have the all metal Mato PIII and I got it before Mato and Clark got together and the first electronics I put in it were the TG 2.4 GHz. Can you post a photo of the inside of your Sherman? Here's how I did my Mato PIII with Taigen electronics. I later picked up the Clark/Mato package from Matomart in Canada and that's the TK22 it now has, with the TGY-i6 TX.

Definitely look for Painless's build thread...he modified the Mato 2.4 gear for his Mato crystal unit Sherman...should have info on hook ups and other things you might need to know

So you just want to replace the RX-18 with the Taigen 2.4 MFU? Or is the Sherman the HL 2.4GHz? Exactly what wires are you having trouble with? Do you have the instruction sheet for the Taigen radio set? Was that the set with the radio, MFU and speaker? Those are pretty easy to hook up, but the motor plugs are backwards from HL to TG. On TG motor right goes in the middle, and on HL motor left goes in the middle. Let me know if you need the diagrams.

Hi thanks for your help, yes that's is the setup I have and I have the mato toys M4A1 76 sherman which is different from the heng long sherman, you don't get any tx or rx with it you fit your own, the plug from the upper hull that plugs into the receiver is a 12 pln plug and receiver is 8 pln plug, been told by forgbear that I have to rewire tank but don't know what I need? ? thanks.

Painless is a pretty helpful guy...It's really he you should thank ...because he's the one who did the conversion ...me..I'm just the messenger....so generous monetary tips will be taken
