Henn Tec Idler System

Post by jtracks »

I've ordered and received a Henn Tec idler system for my Tamiya Panther G. Well, the instructions are in German and the photo's aren't the best. I'm looking for help on installing this system from someone who has installed one. #1 It looks as if I need to enlarge the holes in the hull to make it work, is this true?
There is a larger screw with a head on it that seems it goes through the hull but there is no hole in the hull for it. Does this screw go into the hull? Also, there is no nut for this screw so I don't understand it's purpose. I'll try and get some photo's up. thank you.

Way I understand them...it's different for every application...very similar...but some need different devices to get them right ...have one for my T34

Thanks Kaiser, my instruction sheet photo's are useless, too dark. I'll take some photo's and get them up in the morning. Maybe you'll be able to read the text.

Looks like just one. I think it is the large screw?

Thank you very much Kaiser. I will lay all of the parts out including the Tamiya parts and assemble on the outside of the tank first before I drill that 12mm hole. Just to make sure it all makes sense.

Kiaser wrote:I have a couple of pictures you do not have I will put up  which explains the washers .

You have four washes is that correct ??? And for the mount plates do you have 2 nuts and 2 washer for the screws ???

No nuts and no other screws, that's the reason I couldn't tell how it was all held to the hull. Unless they want me to use Tamiya nuts. I do understand what the washers are for.
