Let's make some tanks.

Post by DallasMVeneto »

Basically this is just for fun. Anyone will be able to make their own ww2 tank for any country. If you need to you can use some designs of tanks that were already made to help create yours. Such as your tank's hull looks like the Matilda tank's hull. If you want we can make a tank battle with your tanks and see what would win by reviewing the details of the tanks and even make some battles with limits, to challenge your mind. Be realistic and put some downsides to your tank, for not a single tank in WW2 was not perfect, not even the Tiger h1.

Tank Name:(doesn't have to be in another language)

Built in: (can be from the 1920's all the way to 1945)

Country: (any country that fought or was involved in WW2, and you can include a flag if you want)

Appearance:(if you can draw or find a picture of it then you may put it here)

Armor: (FH=Front Hull, SH=Sides of Hull, BH=Back Hull, FT=Frontal Turret, ST= Sides of Turrets, BT= Back Turret) EX. FH=60mm at 72degrees, SH=45mm at 60degrees, BH=60mm at 50degrees.

Weapons: (Primary gun or Primary weapon, then an option between a Coaxial machinegun or a second cannon, and a Optional commander seat machine gun.)

Max Pen: (Maximum Penetration, Example. 100-105 millimeters)

Engine type and/or Horse power:

Weakness(s):

Tank type: (Heavy, Medium, Light, Tank Destroyer, or Artillery.

(This is optional) Faction: Allies or Axis.

I don't expect this to take off, only made it for fun.

I'll take a punt ;

- JS3 turret & gun
- E-100 hull & running gear. Mesh Schurzen with two layers, spaced.
- ME 262 engines (hey :wtf: I didnt make the rules !!) actually, two of them mounted internally just because.
- A Zwilling MG42 mount on the commanders station on a full rotating mount.
- A dual .50BMG mount on the right hand turret roof (remote controlled like the StuG IV)

Limitations will be the fuel burn and ammo storage. Possibly weight.
But the kill range & speed between positions, low profile & defencive armour might compensate.

Tossing up a Katusha system which will be jetisonable once not required !!

I propose a man on a donkey with a Kalashnikov rifle. It seems that this is the most effective fighting machine ever created, and has defeated the armed might of the most advanced civilisations on the planet. :haha:

I'm already planning my next build and doing something along these lines. Don't want to give away too much yet but it's German, has an L71 88mm gun and crew of 5.
